Resolve Disputes Without Going to Court

Professional Mediation Services in Missoula, Montana

What We Handle

Litigation is expensive, time-consuming, and unpredictable. In many cases, it’s better for everyone to avoid going to court and pursue alternative dispute resolution methods like mediation, instead. When both parties are willing to negotiate in good faith, mediation can help them come to an agreement that works for everyone.

Chuck Schuyler puts his decades of experience practicing law to work outside the court room by offering mediation services in civil and business disputes in Missoula and Western Montana.

Mediation

What Is Mediation?

Mediation is an alternative dispute resolution method that allows parties in a legal dispute to voluntarily work with a neutral third party to negotiate an agreement. This neutral third party, known as a mediator, oversees the negotiation process, but does not decide the outcome. Instead, they guide the conversation and help everyone involved to understand other points of view.

During mediation, the involved parties meet with the mediator and their respective attorneys to discuss their dispute. Ideally, they work together to find a fair solution to their disagreement. Mediation is completely confidential and can take place before, during, or after litigation.
